Looks just like the photos, so I’m very pleased on that end. However, just like the other straw sunhat (buyers please check out my on the Lace Bow Sun Hat for complaints about the lace clips), this hat has a smell. Not a huge deal because you can only tell with the hat right under your nose, but a smell nonetheless that even steaming the hat can’t get rid of. It didn’t smell horribly chemically like the other straw sun hat I bought, but I don’t know how to describe the smell either. It’s not pleasant. Anyways, buyers please be aware of that.
The straw used in this hat is more firm than the other straw hat I reviewed, which is nice. Doesn’t seem like it’ll lose it’s shape for awhile. No complaints about the ribbons but there are parts of the hat where the straw is broken. Theyre pretty tiny and not noticeable unless you look up close.
These come with lace clips so you can tie it around your head for more security but also detach them if you don’t want them. However the clips aren’t made well and can break (again, refer to my review on the Lace Bow Sun Hat for more detail).
Overall, good purchase and I do recommend if you’re nose isn't highly sensitive to smells.
