Convention Round Up: Tekko 2020 Virtual J-Fashion Track!
Tekko Virtual Fashion Track 2020 Recap
Past Involvement
Tekko is one of our favorite shows! We've been involved for a number of years with the amazing Tekko Japanese Fashion track. It's been a joy to participate, but obviously given the situation this year was cancelled! Lolita Collective wasn't going to be attending as a booth to give ourselves some time to rethink our setup (little did we know we'd have ... tons... of time). For the Tekko 2020 fashion track, we were going to be working with the amazing Violet Fane! We hope she will still be on board for next year. For this Virtual Fashion Track, we didn't actively participate. It was so much fun to cheer on our friends!
Virtual Fashion Track Background
Over the weekend of April 3-4, 2020, a fashion show and panels streamed via a twitch stream. Thanks to Puvithel who was kind enough to work to put together this fashion content including a new concept- a Virtual Fashion Show! Many of our friends participated in their first time ever streaming content. There even was a Virtual Fashion Market to simulate the full attending a convention experience.
Many of the streaming panels were done on the spot! The presenters have experience showing their skills in front of audiences at Anime Conventions but haven't all had the chance to film them before. It certainly was a time to learn a new format, streaming!
As more links become available of the original content's video, we will add them to this post.
